Northern Virginia Fall Festivals will be in full swing soon! Here are some of the best fall festivals and pumpkin patches in the area:
Burnside Farms – The fall pumpkin patch and market is located at 4905 James Madison Highway in Haymarket. This is a different location than where the tulip farm and sunflowers are so make sure you know where you’re going! They have one of the largest selections of pumpkins and gourds in Northern Virginia along with mums, apples, apple cider, straw bales, corn stalks, and fall decor.
Corn Maze in The Plains – Located at 4501 Old Tavern Road in The Plains, they offer much more than just a corn maze. Enjoy the maze, buy pumpkins, or take a hayride to enjoy the fall colors. The kids can enjoy slingshotting pumpkins, running an obstacle course, and petting farm animals.
Cox Farm Fall Festival – 15621 Braddock Road in Centreville. I think every elementary school in Northern Virginia goes here on field trips and it’s always a great time! From the infamous hayride to the slides and tunnels, there is so much to do and love! Shop at the market for pumpkins, gourds, apple cider, and corn stalks. At night the older kids enjoy the Fields of Fear scary hayride!
Great Country Farm Fall Pumpkin Harvest Festival – 18780 Foggy Bottom Road, Bluemont. Pick your own pumpkins, wagon rides, pig races, a 5 acre play area including a huge jumping pillow, and visit the concession stand. The concessions include apple cider donuts, pumpkin ice cream, kettle corn, and apple pies.
Jack’s Pumpkin Glow – this event is being held at Lake Fairfax Park located at 1400 Lake Fairfax Drive in Reston. This is a family-friendly walking trail featuring over 5,000 hand carved Jack-O-Lanterns. The walk takes 30-45 minutes and isn’t scary so kids of all ages will enjoy it!
Yankey Farms Pumpkin Patch – 14039 Owls Nest Road, Nokesville. Pick your own pumpkin, walk through the corn maze scavenger hunt, ride the cow train. The farmyard activities include animals, corn boxes, hay piles, and slides. *There is no admission fee to pick pumpkins
Buckland Farm Market – 4484 Lee Highway in New Baltimore. Hayrides, a corn maze, giant firepit, kids activities. Enjoy pumpkin and apple cider donuts, choose the best pumpkins and gourds, shop in the market, and buy fresh-baked pies!
Messicks Farm Market – 6025 Catlett Road, Bealeton. Buy fresh produce and local meats from the market store, enjoy lunch or ice cream. The grounds feature lots for kids to enjoy including a jumping pillow, pea gravel digging pit, a petting zoo, towers and slides. The fall festival has hayrides, live music, and a corn maze.
